Archi di Aretusa

Archi di Aretusa is a small holiday home in the heart of Ortigia, a few steps from Piazza Duomo.

The restyling of this space is a dialogue between the charm of the historical context and playful eclectic incursions.

The two rooms become, in sequence, an entrance with kitchenette and dining area, and a living room/bedroom that is doubled with the use of a custom-made furniture/screen.

The existing floor tiles – cement tiles and glazed ceramics – become carpets marking the space and combining family furnishings and accessories, creating a connection to stories and places of origin.

The soft colors, the tactile finish of walls and ceiling, the soft and punctual lights create, finally, that unique blend in the name of typical local domesticity.
