Baia del Silenzio

We should all have a life with a view to the sea, this is what an American globetrotter thought when in three days, he decided to get his own  glimpse of Sicilian sea and the house that enjoys it. The house, that is part of the well-known district of Baia del Silenzio, was built in the seventies, and the restyling project, although quite drastic, yet maintains the characterizing elements of this architecture, such as the terraces and the loggias. According to the idea of this exclusive summer residence, the former openings are replaced with large glazed walls to maximizing the view to the sea and the horizon from any corner of the house.

The ground floor is an open space that projects towards the outdoor spaces, on the upper floor there are the bedrooms, in the basement another outdoor convivial areas in contact with the “stone garden” descending toward the sea. In an alternation of tailored furnishing and finishes with a Mediterranean vibes as their fil-rouge, the house is conceived as a functional and welcoming space.
